Body and Tail: Cobby in type. Low on legs, deep in the chest, equally massive across the shoulders and rump. Back level, short, rounded midsection. Medium to large in size. Quality and proportion the determining consideration. Legs/Feet: Legs should be short, thick and heavily boned. Forelegs should slant inward very slightly from breadth of chest adding to sturdy appearance. Feet should be large, round and firm with toes close together; five toes in front and four behind. Tail: Short, straight, but in proportion to the body. Carried without a curve and at an angle lower than the back.
Himalayans have the heavy build and thick coat of the Persian but the coat colourpoints of the Siamese. They have large round blue eyes and a short nose. There are a wide range of colours available, the most common being sealpoint, blue point, chocolate point, and lilac point. blue-lynx point, chocolate-lynx point and lilac-lynx point.
selective breeding over a period of years, cat breeder Virginia Cobb and Harvard Medical School researcher Clyde Keeler developed longhaired cats with the distinctive colorpoints of the Siamese. The first kitten to be called a Himalayan was named Newton’s Debutante.

Hello my name is Jade, I watched your video and I would like to share some information with you about the breed. To begin off with my aunt and uncle breeds Himalayan's and Persians. While watching your video you said that this breed of cat doesn't jump high due to their short legs. That information is false. Any type of cat can jump high. Don't let their short leg's fool you. Also there is no such thing as a "doll face" in any association. I work in the CCA and they do not except those nor any other association. The word "doll face" is a term breeders use to sell their kittens/cats that don't meet the shows standards.
