excellent
Hello! Great work
I have a basenji and she loves to sleep under blankets!
The simplest aspect of self-enquiry is to just hold onto the sense I AM, the sense of Being. Keep the sense of “I” or “I AM” by itself. Everyone can do this exercise – it brings immediate results.
We have two basenjis, and they love to run! Basenjis are extremely loving, and they can make a vocalization that sounds like a 1/2 bark. Mostly they make yodeling, crying, and sort of a growl, that isn’t really a growl. They are wonderful, and you were correct in your information about the breed. Thanks for highlighting them.
Well I would’ve loved to hear the dog yodelling. Couldn’t you include a recording of that?
You have Basenjis confused with Rhodesian Ridgeback. They were first imported from the Belgian Congo in about 1932 by Veronica Tudor Williams of UK. These early dogs were first called Congo Terriers and exhibited at Crufts..They do have a very terrier like appearance. They are (or were) feral animals…and they only come into season once a year. More like wolves than domestic dogs. They have NO doggy smell and are very clean. The breed standard calls for 4 white socks and they lick them until pristine WHITE if they get dirty feet. Basenjis are sight hounds and will also point birds. They HATE water and are not tolerant of cold weather. Their coat is so short, fleas can be seen on them…so they do not stay long. These are NOT regular dogs. They are feral. They will NOT come when called, they should NEVER be permitted to be in a unfenced area off leash, as they will give chase to ANYTHING that runs away. They have high prey drive and DO NOT understand cars. They are pack animals and often get into vicious battles among themselves for dominance. Generally a male and a female can be loose together without (much) blood shed. They come in Red, Black, TriColor and the newest import is brindle. They Must have 4 white feet, white chest and white tail tip curled ideally tightly against on hip or the other. The ears are hooded, and they have profuse wrinkles. When they prick their ears forward, they have a worried expression. I shared my life with 3 for about 13 years. https://youtu.be/GT1vN5BS3kY <<yodeling
I would love to see a mini aussie pom facts video!♡♡
I love in South Texas. We had a basenji growing up. His name was Murphy and didn't bark, just mumble. He was my favorite dog ever. I've adopted a friend's dog which is mine now. She is supposedly part basenji. Her name is Jordyn. She doesn't bark much but she barks unlike Murphy did. Maybe because she's a mix.
I was introduced to the Basenj breed when I was 8 yrs of age, and been around them off and on for the last 52 years.. We raised them for about a decade. They are an on-sight scent hound, and are pack dogs. So if you are around them and the owner you have to be the alpha. Half the fun about them is trying to out smasrt them. They usually bond with one or two members of the family or the whole family. They are not a Lab or Gereman Sherperd. They want to do what want to do at times. If you understand the breed they can be a challenge at times but very enjoyable to have in your life. You'll never be bored with them. They Yodell or Baroo. They do growl, and actually they scream like an abuse when scared, startled or are alone in the house. When I was little the police came and talked to my parents caused our neighbors heard our Basenji crying and screaming when she alone and thought my perents were abusiing us kids.
