Dog breeds like Shar-Pei, Neapolitan Mastiff and English bulldog are very noticeable due to their wrinkled faces. This feature of them is actually been emphasized by breeders to increase the safety of the breed. Guarding and fighting were the most common activities for these breeds so the extra skin in their face protects them. If another dog or person grabbed onto their skin, they would still get away and their internal organs wouldn’t get damaged.
