Short Kerry Blue Terrier description:
The Kerry Blue Terrier is athletic and muscular breed with average height between 17-19 inches, which is 44-48 cm and weight between 22-33 pounds which is 10-15 kg. The females are naturally little bit smaller than males.

The Kerry Blue Terrier has all the typical terrier characteristics. It is strong, agile and alert dog that is always ready for an action. They are also very smart and if they want they learn new commands very quickly. But they are definitely not pushovers to train, due to their independent personality, which is also very typical for most of the terriers.

  1. Yes a Kerry Blue Terrier is my favorite dog. I have been doing agility with her for 3 years. You are correct when you say they have a lot of energy she wants to keep going while the other dogs are getting tired.

  2. I've had two kerry blue terriers, beautiful dog's, and if you have children they will be a good friend, there so protective, so you must be a ferm pack leader, but what can I say, I have only ever had them, and yes I'm a dog lover but a kerry blue will always be my favourite, and I have promised myself that when I retire I will have to find myself a new family member and I will always pick a KERRY BLUE TERRIER 👍

  3. I've one, love her to death, psycho, only walk her late at night to avoid being pulled all over the place, she doesn't have a beard as her face in a no go area, brilliant gard dog, hears something, anything barks, but she is a daddies girl, really sweet personality, even okay with strangers, only down side is, she humps my leg, if she feels, shes not getting enough attention fm me when others are in my company

  4. I like both the blue standard poodle & the Kerry blue terrier. If anyone knows both breeds, can you please comment on if the blue is the same color on both breeds ? Is the fur the same texture ?

  5. I've always had Fox and Airedale Terrier, Airedale is adorable to me. I don't understand in the KBT the difference of the gray and blue / black color. Is it casual or can I already know the color it will have as an adult as a puppy?

  6. I had a Kerry for 18years called BAZ i live in KILBURN London they are from Spain and Portugal they landed in Kerry as and the name stuck he was a one off Kerry.
