I’ve bred and owned Basenjis for 15 years and have never come across one that fetches a ball (or anything more than once!). My one year old Cooper is the exception… you have to see it to believe it!
bcuz they usually just don't fetch lol! Most basenjis, you throw em a toy/ball etc and then just chase it, pounce on it… shake or tug at it a bit, and then loose interest lol.
Lol! Very odd indeed. My basenji just chases my other dogs when they fetch. Chases them, steals the toy and then drops the toy once the other dog loses interest in retrieving the toy lol.
