This is helpful since my blue heeler doesn't listen to me
Your advice is always spot-on. Who ever trained YOU did a good job!!!!!
Fast way to train COME & STAY attach your dog's leash to a clothesline running through 2 pulleys so you can move your dog towards you or away from you by use of pullies.
Lou is hilarious. My training mistake was not taking Amelia out in public and getting socialized. I know you have discussed this. All your training ideas were good. I am not big on training for tricks. I have been able to curtail some of her exuberant behavior. The ball is a strong motivator but also my affection is a big motivator too. If I say no and look away it gets her attention and she goes right to sitting. I've used that to stop her from jumping on me when I get home from work. I am about to have my friends come over and get her toned down for visitors. Your advice was dead on. Loved the Leon Redbone ? music at beginning.
It is working on my iphone
My Trico , looks just like Lou ( except lighter tan/red) . I have had him to the dog park since he was 16 weeks . His 1 yr B-Day was 2 /22 and he started stealing balls a the park a month or so ago ; he would attack if a dog came near him and the stolen ball . I can't believe he flipped like that .So I nurtured him and plan to bring a trailer to the park next
My blue heeler Zero likes to bark at people when someone comes over or if we are sitting in the car in parking lot or at other dogs. It worries me because I can tell he's using an aggressive bark towards them and no matter what I do he doesn't chill out. If they try and come near him or me he grawls at them until he feels they are far enough away from us. He's become very protective of me even though he has been around new people since he was 10 weeks old. He's 9 months old now and stated this behavior not to long ago. Any training tips for relaxing and feeling okay around new people and other dogs?
Does your dog grunt mine does
I love your hair! Thanks for these tips 💙 my red heeler is a handful lol
What do you feed your cattle dog? 🤔🤔 we have been switching around (hes on a limited ingredient diet now) but I know some heelers have sensitive tummys also so recommendations are appreciated!
I’m getting a healer! She’s red and we are going to name her ember! I love your channel it is soooo helpful!
lou and my blue heeler have the same collar on haha
I have a 8 month old female Blue heeler, Pepper. And she's so similar to your dog. She's house-broken, she can sit, and she is a very playful puppy and very smart. But I've been having a little bit of trouble with the SHEDDING. When we got her I knew that she will blow her coat 2x a year, but she's been shedding constantly (& a crazy amount) for about a month. She doesn't have as much merle coloring as your dog and the fur doesn't bunch on her like I've seen on other heelers. How does Lou shed?? And do you have any tips for that?
Also, did you have any heel-biting with Lou? Pepper has begun biting at people's ankles and calves when they run. It was playful at the beginning, but I've noticed that she has started biting slightly harder. I don't want her to hurt anybody and she doesn't respond very well when we tell her "no" in a stern voice. (She's slightly shy from her previous owner and is scared of stern voices)
Love your videos! My heeler will not stop jumping on us, ties on how to train her to stop? Have tried multiple training techniques from YT and so far not working.
Can you make a potty training video?
Does this breed of dog bark a Lot?
Thanks for the tips! Just subscribed, I have a 10 month old Black Mouth Cur/Red Heeler Mix that I've been trying these tips on and they are working great. Thank you 🙂
darn thats her boyfriend in the background
My 3 month Red heeler is SO sweet. Until all of her series of shots here in Calif. We have to keep pups away from parks, lakes other dogs. So I've been using this time to play with her inside to teach her fun things like fetch, interactive play like Tug toys. Get her excited with different size balls and to retrieve with Liz's advice with Merrik's Power bites Salmon chewy treats and sweet potato dog biscuit's. My Queensland heeler does anything for these treats and is SO happy! Thanks to your video's I've learned so much Liz! She in the last two weeks learned, sit, come, shake & down. TY!
Hi Liz, awesome videos. Can you tell me around what month or age did Lou's ears start to pop up? Thanks!
Tip #1 for you Liz: exercise is training !
If don't integrate training into exercise why you train your dog? Just to show your friend your dog can sit?!?

Love all you teach ❤️
Do you have any videos on Heeler barking for attention or nipping while playing? (and nipping at heels ect.)
