  1. Fetch, frisbee, walking (cant do much of that right now ankle surgery upcoming for me). Anything that wears her out. Right now a lot of fetch….

  2. did you find you had a hard time getting Lou to go into the water?, My heeler Pickle loves to splash around, and I know he knows how to swim, but He won't go in past where he can touch. he's two years old and I can't for the life of me get him to swim and retrieve something from the water. I've heard from other heeler owners that they has this problem at first too. Is it something you experienced? and if so, how did you help Lou to get over it?

  3. I noticed in your Grand canyon video Lou had a E- collar on, Can you do a video on your experience with a e-collar. We just got a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler from a shelter Well trained But a little stubborn at times on call backs, Took  him hiking in wooded hilly area with a path let him off leash he hit a deer path and took off threw the woods verbal commands did not work, Found him 2 hrs later after going through 3 miles of brush, woods and up down hills, He ran to me Like he was lost very glad to see me. That was the first week I had him.

    Teddy is his name  https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=jvTZLmcNTW0

  4. Production value is really improving.  I work in a rehab hospital and dogs on leashes and bikes are not safe for dog or rider. I have treated many people who had serious accidents doing this.  Amelia loves the hose and is crazy for it.  I am committed to seeing how she swims this summer.  Thanks this was great on a snowy Monday morning.  Do you have a special camera to shoot this?  Thanks again you three are going to keep growing in popularity.

  5. Fetch, frisbee, loves swimming and jumping from dock, riding along side bikes. Try hiking but she doesn’t get tired from it. She whines when we make her get out the water.

  6. Whats the advice to teach lay down my blue heeler. She is 18 week old. She already can sit and willing to stand too legs … But I can't make her lay down when the food on ground she just sit. I tried with different treats and food. She like a sculpture. Just sit but not lay down. And the videos on youtube only show the how to with dogs who already can lay down 😑.

  7. Hi, we’re new here and so happy to see another dog channel! We once had a Red Heeler and loved him so much! Watch Lou reminds me so much of him. ❤️

  8. And…exercising outside is great for YOU! Maggie and I run 4 miles daily, play Frisbee, and occasionally hike in the afternoon on BLM land. Good for you for taking Louie outside for stimulating fun!

  9. I’ve been really interested in buying a heeler, I’ve saved up nearly a grand and I’ve done over a year of research including dog sitting one. As a student I’ve been told it’s not a good idea considering I’ll be gone for roughly 5-6 hours each weekday. I plan on buying an Ariel tether (leash) would it be a good idea to get a heeler for myself?

  10. Can you make a video on how you trained Lou to go off leash? I would love to teach my girl how to go off leash. She's got a white spot on her head just like Lou!

  11. Hello, my puppy is a blue Heeler/ Border Collie mix named Flint.
I find he acts exactly!! Like the Heelers.
Just want to thank you for your work in teaching others about your experiences!
Not much out there on Healers.
I learned so much from you guys. 🙂
Winter sure is hard to have a puppy but we took your advice and have been working hard to socialise him early!!!
    Thanks!
    Karen.

  12. Lol After about 3-4 tosses, Rocky gets bored with fetching! Running along a bike- the first thing he does is try to herd me across the street, from the front! And by the front tire! Once I remind him he can't herd me on a bike, he does really good at running along.

  13. I exercise my dog by taking him on long walks and runs and he loves to swim and I play ball with him in the backyard in the summertime but currently right now it’s in the winter so we just try to take shorter walks than we normally do but yeah that is how I exercise my dog

  14. when I take my cattle dog for a walk every morning I play a music mix that includes "Groove is in the heart" and "Just an old cattle dog" two good songs in the morning to start the day 🙂

  15. how do you train the dog off leash? Like make them stay by your side and not run off ?? Love ur videos! Plus giving the toy back to you

  16. If you want to play fetch, hou should walk past your dog, so it's sits with his body to the direction he is going to run to. This is better for the hips of your dog 😉.

    Just to let you know✌🏽

  17. I can't let my ACD loose. If I had a property like yours I would let mine loose. She walks, plays fetch, frisbee & goes for bike rides in the spring-autum. She also had mind games inside and is trained to search
