Can you feed your Australian cattle dog chicken bones??? In this video I make a simple 3 ingredient dog food from things you probably already have in your fridge. I show you how to make chicken bones safe for your dog to eat and Marie gives us a taste test.

  1. I would have suggested chopping that up a bit more. Less than 1 inch square helps them if they try to swallow without chewing.

  2. Where did you get Marie? I lost my BH in February of last year. He was 18 yrs old. I am looking at getting another BH pure bred. Thanks.

  3. I take the fat off the top of the broth.
A built up of fat Pustules, under skin, from to much fat. Not saying your dog.

  4. You should edit this video! would be more helpful. not necessary to see you unpackage a chicken, cut it, and wash your hands. thank you.

  5. Please keep posting, love everything about heelers, have a red one, 8 weeks old male, and your videos have being very helpful

  6. Love your videos. Very helpful. And ignore the commenters who can't handle seeing raw chicken. I'm still shaking my head over that one.

  7. Did u leave the lid off the pot and did u have to add aany more water to it… And was it cooked on med. The whole time. Trying to get that part down.

  8. Hello- I think for start this is great especially with heelers that are allergy prone, however being a heeler owner myself it was difficult finding the right amount of protein and fat intake to fit their active needs. After great research I chose taste of the wild “high Prairie” which caused significant gas so switched to same brand “fish.” Moving forward the class action suit against them for many things; but my most concern is the heavy metals and pesticides. Ugh. So here I am back on the journey. There is a non profit organization called truth about pet food. They have a list of trusted dog foods updated every year. Only 1 dog food is kibble. They have to prove with documentation to be on this list. So now we are switching to open farm, wild caught salmon. $89.99/22lbs. Oof, so we are deciding to make our own food and mix with this new brand. I’ve done some research on the BARF diet, however this diet is missing key minerals which can be fixed with a few seasonings you can find in your spice cabinet. I tried to go raw, but my ACD won’t touch a raw liver treat (suggested to ease into diet) so that takes raw off the table. I would suggest looking into the BARF diet to see the extra ingredients needed for them to have a complete balanced meal. I know that just these 3 ingredients they’re some essential vitamins and minerals missing. Off the top of my head, blueberries should be added. Would it be okay if I get your email address? I would like to bounce some ideas off of you. I can email you my research as well. I am specifically researching for the ACD breed since I have 5 of them. Here is my email address: windedhillsranch@gmail.com if you have some research you would like to share I would be very appreciative. Thank you
