One of the biggest misconceptions about huskies is that they need t be under a fan or air conditioning 24/7.
Huskies are a breed of dog that are well-suited for hot and sunny weather conditions. They were originally bred as sled dogs and have a thick double coat that protects them from the cold, but also keeps them cool in hot weather.
Huskies are able to regulate their body temperature effectively, allowing them to tolerate high temperatures without the need for air conditioning. Additionally, their dense fur protects them from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
It’s important to note, however, that even though huskies can handle hot weather, it’s still important to provide them with plenty of shade, water, and regular breaks from the sun. Overheating can still occur, especially if the dog is exercising or playing in the sun for an extended period of time.
While huskies are well-equipped to handle hot weather, it’s still important to monitor their well-being and provide them with proper care, especially during hot and sunny days like the ones we have in Malaysia!

The only time we took our husky hiking in the summer was when we'd only have a 5 minute walk to the river so he could splash around. If we were at home he'd let us know without hesitation that he wanted inside lol
