The Tibetan Spaniel.
A very personable dog and quite the little Buddhist. Such a happy little lady. A bold and independent woman too, but can be sensitive and happy to accept instruction. Her attitude to family is one of contentment, especially when being played with or out and about on adventures.
She’ll most likely have a favorite, making her preference known by cuddling up and having a snooze with this person. She’ll be a pleasure to have around the house, often being more house-proud than her owners; she’s very clean and tidy.
On the exercise front she doesn’t need so much, a light walk will do as long as she gets it everyday.
The heat is not her friend, so an indoor life in a hotter place would need to be air conditioned, though she’s a bit better in the cold, even if her real preference is to be snuggled up in a cosy environment. That thick coat – responsible for all this – will need a good brush twice a week.
Interesting facts: The best of these breeds used to be produced by the Monasteries of Tibet, and their jobs were to stand guard on the outer walls notifying of intruders.
The Tibetan Spaniel. A great companion for urbanites, and a fascinating history too.
