Nice job Peter. So important to teach this when the dogs aren't panting to start with . You know that but I see some trying this with a tired/hot dog .
Common dog here in Australia them cattle dogs, they are great dogs. Iv an Australian Shepherd that won't retrieve, loves running after stuff and barking but won't bring it back
I am new to your channel. Glad to have found it. I live in Erin. Grew up in millport. I have a blue and red heeler and your videos are not only entertaining but educational. Hope to see you in the dandy someday
Great videos, totally agree with no food training! You always get a better trained and more respectful dog if he does need to be bribed into doing stuff with treats. Do you have any tips on training dog to do this > When walking (lets say alone in the park) and the dog senses someone following closely he turns around and continues walking next to the owner but backwards, watching the person following and still letting them pass calmly as long as they dont touch the owner.
Man my boy Kilo is the man! And I'm so glad you've got a video on the ACD. If you'd like you can see my boy on my 8+ min video chasing the minibike around. Thank you thank you thank you man!
How do you train socialization? My Aussie Cattle Dog, she's workable with retrieval and getting her to heel, we seem to be making progress in that front, but she seems to ALWAYS bark at other dogs, even friendly ones in submissive positions. She is also alert at every person who passes by, and even sometimes barks at them. How does one train socialization? She's 5 months old, I don't want the window to pass…

Great looking dog. So smart! Trainer is a looker, too!

Hi Peter, are there any UK trainers you approve of? Thanks.
