A fine example to see and learn from in the behaviours of dogs and boxer dogs.

layla being calm with the same mindset of attack.
Heidi is very visual with her mindset of attacking.

although layla and Heidi are trained “To a certain extent,” one thing I know is how yo read their personalities and this is one I know all too well with a previous attack on a pet chicken.

I hope this brings some light and education to the boxer dog/ other breeds.

  1. Always so happy to see ya guys back!! These two ladies' focus is epic! It's great you're advising pet parents that part of loving your fur babies is to realize that, along with all their beautiful traits, they also have certain natural instincts that can be challenging. 🤗

  2. Hey…great to see uz.
    Wise lesson for unfamiliar owners.
Always love ur messages. My guy was the same.Hope ur well & busy just bein happy!!

  3. My ex boyfriend had three boxers. He thought it would be a good idea to have guinea hens to help with any fleas or ticks that were in his yard. Unfortunately, guinea hens are not super smart but are super social so they would go flying up to the dogs when they were outside and ended up being killed. The last guinea hen he had almost got taken out while I was there by his big seal coated male boxer. He decided to give that guinea hen to a friend of his so it would have some other buddies that were less dangerous to its health.

  4. They are good girls. Lovely to see them. Boxers are intelligent dogs and any other sort of intelligent dog will behave this way as well. You are correct in not trusting them with small living things. This should be applied to children too. Many animals need to be supervised until they have learned over time the correct behaviour. I know I’ve been bitten enough.😂

  5. I've never had this issue with our one Boxer named Macy. I think when we rescued her, she was living on a farm, so she literally chased no animals, even squirrels or deer.

  6. Heidi looks like Sammie while she is sitting like that from Rex channel. Loved how you told Layla to sit and stay but she decided to lay down instead.

  7. Welcome back, nice to see you again. Missed you so much. Hope that you are all fine. Looking forward to watch some news from the well trained boxer girls with their pack😊 Greetings from Lucie la Boxer❤

  8. I love Layla and Heidi!! I’ve never seen a doggo act like that before. She’s like determined to get them poor ducklings. Good correction dad!! They’re both still cute as hell!! Lol! A very good educational tidbit too. Some owners may not know this. Kudos!

  9. You can train them! Our Boxers in Portugal lived with cats, chicken, ducks, geese… Ideally they learnt it in their puppy years.
But it happened once that one of our Boxers killed a duck (when he met them for the first time in the country house). He was in big trouble and had to endure my mums angry voice, while she made him look at the dead duck. I felt sorry for him!! But what happened next? He never killed another duck again!
I think that, as Boxers are so intelligent, they can learn that it is wrong to hunt/ kill other smaller animals. The more Boxers get in touch with other animals, the more they get used to them. Wanna bet? 👍

  10. Kelly my Brother Marty had a Boxer Dog & she was fun & cute to i do miss her alote to her name was Kenjin❤❤👍👍👍

  11. atta prey drive right there understand the Heidi is reinforced by Leyla….you allow Leyla to be nose close that is it for Heidi….gotta think like a predator to manage those behavior

  12. Love Heidi and Layla. Had a number of Boxers, my current is Rudy, 4 year old dog. Same laser like focus when we pass the chicken enclosure. There will always be a Boxer in our family. Truly marvellous.

  13. 😏💯💜 birds, squirrels, rabbits, leaf, butterfly. Chase anything that moves. My girls only a year this month

  14. Oh my, beautiful Boxers, they all have the same behavioral traits, Heidi reminds me so much of my late Angie that it pains me and makes me happy at the same time. You are blessed with these two beautiful girls, I'm wishing you all the best… ❤️❤️❤️
    Greetings from Serbia. 🙂🙂🙂

  15. Boxer don't tend to attack and hurt! Perhaps yours, but that's because of your behaviour.
Nevertheless owners have a problem in such situations. They want to play, and they REALLY want it. Also dangerous because of their temperament. So the right education should be to calm them down. Boxer attacking other animals… wrong owner!
