The Fila Brasileiro or Brazilian Mastiff, is a large working breed of dog developed in Brazil It is known for its superb tracking ability, aggressiveness and an unforgiving, impetuous temperament Rather than attacking its prey, the Fila traps it and waits for the hunter to arrive.

Owing to these qualities, the Fila Brasileiro is used as a guard dog, as a cattle dog for livestock and as a hunting dog for tracking and controlling large game When slavery was legal in Brazil in the 18th century, the Fila Brasileiro was used to return fugitive slaves unharmed to their masters.

Fila Brasileiros are known to be naturally protective They are bred to be aggressive It is also known for its extreme wariness of strangers and agility when protecting or defending its master The dedication and obedience of the Fila Brasileiro has found its way into the Brazilian saying “as faithful as a Fila”.

4. Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a breed of domestic dog, regarded as medium-to-large or large The dogs were known in German as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning Rottweil butchers’ dogs, because their main use was to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat to market.

This continued until the mid-19th century when railways replaced droving Although still used to herd stock in many parts of the world, Rottweilers are now also used as search and rescue dogs, guard dogs, and police dogs.

3. Perro de Presa Canario

The Perro de Presa Canario, also known as the Canary Mastiff, is a large Molosser-type dog breed originally bred for working livestock The name of the breed is Spanish, means “Canarian catch dog”, and is often shortened to “Presa Canario” or simply “Presa” The breed is sometimes also called Dogo Canario, meaning “Canarian Molosser” It is the animal symbol of the island of Gran Canaria.

Presas require early socialization and obedience training In some situations, the Perro de Presa Canario can be aggressive toward other dogs and suspicious of strangers In the past these dogs were used in dog fighting rings due to their size.

In 2001, Diane Whipple, a lacrosse player and coach was killed when she entered her apartment building in San Francisco and was attacked by two dogs, Bane and Hera, owned by Marjorie Knoller and Robert Noel.

2. Pit Bull

Pit bull is a term used in the United States for a type of dog descended from bulldogs and terriers, while in other countries such as the United Kingdom the term is used as an abbreviation of the American Pit Bull Terrier breed The term was first used in 1927.

 Within the United States the pit bull is usually considered a heterogeneous grouping that includes the breeds American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and occasionally the American Bulldog, along with any crossbred dog that shares certain physical characteristics with these breeds.

In other countries including Britain the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is not considered a pit bull Most pit bull–type dogs descend from the British Bull and terrier, a 19th century dog-fighting type developed from crosses between the Old English Bulldog and the Old English Terrier.

Pit bull–type dogs have a controversial reputation as pets both in the United States and internationally, due to their history in dog-fighting, the number of high-profile attacks documented in the media over decades, and proclivity to latching on while biting.

The Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a breed of large livestock guardian dog from the Caucasus region The breed was standardized and registered by the Soviet Union in the 20th century However, the breed itself is native to the countries of the Caucasus region – Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Dagestan.

Loyal, strong, and courageous, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a fierce family protector They were bred to care for flocks and defend the home against wild predators in the rough Caucasus Mountain region They’re also known as Caucasian Mountain Dogs, Russian Bear Dogs, Baskhan (Karachay) Pariy, Caucasian Ovcharka Dogs, or just CO, and there are many variants and types.

This massive breed is highly territorial and won’t back down from a fight, even against bears or wolves Caucasian Shepherd Dogs are intelligent, but their stubborn, independent nature can make them difficult to train Their natural distrust of strangers and other animals can also lead to aggressive tendencies if an experienced trainer doesn’t keep them in check.

  1. How can you put down an animal when you can't even pronounce it's breed. There are NO Dangerous Dogs until they are taught to be bad.

  2. Depends a lot on their training. You can't judge the breed by a few example. Yes it's terrible but it is the dog not breed.
