I saw this breed once at a dog festival, fittingly alongside the Lure Competition gates. I was so thankful the owners didn’t say that she’s a Mutt. They said they’re thinking she’s a Kooikerhondje but not certain. I reassured them of her breed, and the dark brown “feather” under each ear was a dead giveaway😂. I informed them of the breed’s rarity, especially outside of Europe and what they were bred for. They said “Well I guess we’re in the right place by this Duck Lure Competition!” 🤣🤣 The dog was a true Kooiker!❤
