The Cane Corso is a large-boned and muscular working dog with a noble and confident disposition. Its lineage goes back to ancient Rome.
The breed’s name roughly translates from Latin as ‘bodyguard dog’. Most experts believe they’re descended from the now-extinct Greek Molossus dogs.
