This is my review on training tips for raising your American Staffordshire Terrier from a puppy. The Amstaff is an excellent dog with heaps of great qualities that make it an easy dog to train. I did this video due to requests from viewers who saw my first Amstaff video, so I hope you all enjoy it…

Quality Amstaffs are available from Tredanky Staffs. This breeder will NOT sell a puppy to anyone who cannot display qualities of a responsible dog owner.

  1. Hi OR.
    Hope you are well
Have an American Staff that was handed to us by a family memeber
She is approx 6 months old – I will have a crack at doing the above. She understands Sit, Stay and will go to bed on her own accord
Having trouble releasing her toy when we play fetch and she also likes to jump and nip when she REALLY gets excited!
Any tips would be greatly appreciated
We have the chew balls with treats inside for her and tyre ropes

  2. Nearly lost a pitbull to one of those tire toys. She had chewed a piece off in less than a minute, swallowed it and it lodged in her intestines. Nearly killed her. Not a great toy.

  3. Great video mate. I had a pitbull for 16 years that was such a good boy and did all the same tricks. I miss my son. New pup on the way after 8 years with out a dog. Very excited

  4. Why do you refer to him as a Pitbull. They are a very distinctive breed separate from the Pitbull. Please do not continue the fallacy of this incorrect information. Just because some govt people may group the English Staffy , the American Staffordshire Terrier, and Pitbull together ; they completely incorrect. Each of the 3 breeds are separate and distinct breeds.

  5. Don’t underestimate these dogs. They are ready to learn command potty train much earlier. Ours ran to the door to go out at 6 1/2 weeks. We always say “outside”meaning to go out of doors and then “hurry up” to do their business. They can have this all learned by 8 weeks. We never leave them in the fenced yard alone—ever— at this age. They do their business on command then straight back in. They learn very quickly—-no hanging around outside in bad weather etc.

  6. Thankyou so much for making this video. It has helped me so much! My amstaff never listens to me when I try to train her and this really helped, thanks!

  7. Hey – quick random question for amstaff owners 🙂 My cousins had a recent litter if 7. I do alot of hiking here in Scotland. Climb alot of mountains. Down the line when ready, are they a good breed to accompany me with this? Cheers 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  8. Loved your video. excellent tips for training there. Thank you. I have 3 boys aged 5, 4 and 2. I am planning to get an Amstaff dog about 18 month old. Could you please give me some advice on whether its the right breed with my kids in my family.

  9. How to get dogs used to loud noises like fireworks and shooting guns so they don't tear your door down with frustration and anxiety they can get really scared and spooked with loud noises should they be trained some way for loud noises so they won't get spooked

  10. Thx mate for your relaxed yet informative video. Wife’s getting a AM puppy in 2 weeks. I’m quite excited to c the little girl as well. Hope we gonna use lots of your tips for training her. Thx again

  11. raising an amstaff is dangerous
when it's a puppy it's friendly and lovely and loyal to the owner it also bites and unlike other dogs you have to be scared of your OWN dog jumping other dogs and killing them

  12. My pitbull is small like he's stopped growing and idk what breed I have. I got it as a gift from a friend she was afraid of it and gave it away to me.

  13. Great vid, I just bought a 10 week old amstaff, wondering if anyone wants to connect/be come friends, that has a amstaff?Lol,or any groups ins Vic or nsw

  14. Pitties are the best! They can be rescued from horrible situations and they still just want to love. Big muscle babies.

  15. I rescued an American Bully 14 months ago. He was 9 months, so I got a bit of a late start training him. American bully is a mix of pittie, staffie and American bulldog. Very lovable companion dog.

  16. Amstaffs are not pit bulls amstaff is short for American Staffordshire terrier and pit bull is short for American pit bull terrier they are 2 separate breeds they have simular annsestary but they have been bread separately for over 50 years.

  17. Can't believe you nz government has deemed to ok for you peons of the Crown 😂😂😂😂 sucka yo in that country from the way your government controls you 😂😂😂
