In this video, I give my dog a good brushing with my grooming gloves and show you how much Dobermans shed. Also, a few ways you can reduce shedding from your Doberman and improve their skin—really making their coat shine in the process! Hairloss and shedding can be a serious issue in some dogs. While Dobermans can have their fair share of hair loss and skin issues such as color dilution alopecia (CDA), dry skin, flakey skin, red bumps, hair thinning, and patchy hair loss… luckily there is usually a lot that can be done to improve their coat. We also talk about cleaning Doberman hair out of furniture and fabrics. Here’s a rundown on how to handle Doberman shedding and what levels of shedding are normal.

  1. Hi planning to buy a Doberman puppy I’ve been doing my research I always love that breed do you have the breeder information you bought me and my wife really enjoy your videos great information really helpful we appreciate thanks

  2. My Doberman's fur always pokes me in the feet and I get skin irritation but I just have sensitive lil b skin 💀

  3. .. 1 raw egg (the yellow) every other day, salmon oil (Alaskan Grizzly Pet Products) and 3 yeast tablets a day works wonders for skin and coat.. And they love it..

  4. I have a Doberman husky mix and I hardly see her shed. She sheds but not much. I’m just glad that her hair isn’t coarse like the Doberman it’s softer like the husky

  5. I use a zoom groom for about 20 minutes three times a week. Mine does shed quite a lot.
The other thing about regular body scrubs is you see how much oils and dirt are on the coat. Within two weeks of bathing the zoom is really grey with oil & dead skin.
He loves his body rubs, soon as he sees the zoom groom he'll stand in front of me. Then sit on the mat as I brush his hair up & come back for more.

  6. Instead of olive oil have you tried fish oil? That’s what I generally use. It’s the same omega fatty acids but from what I was told the fish oil provides more and is absorbed better. My vet recommended it for my bulldog and his coat shines like never before

  7. I have had many dobermans but this is the first time re hair loss on it ears .my vet has given me shampoo with not much results. Any one have seen this b4 ??

  8. thank you for all your info, my son wants a Dober, which will be our 3rd dog, and your videos have given us a lot of info to make educated choice

  9. After owning both a German Shepherd and a Husky which are heavy shedders, I had to chuckle watching this. I'm looking forward to getting a Dobermann.

  10. You are such a great owner. You really take good care of your dog. Such a beautiful dog. Now I want one🙂. I really enjoy your videos and I don't even have a dog

  11. They don’t really shed much, but it seems like the hairs that mainly come out are the red ones

  12. He says Doberman barley shed but mine sheds like crazy! Those little hairs always get jabbed in my feet and socks. You would think it wouldn’t hurt but u actually feel it a lot when it gets deep in your skin.
