      Not to mention the 28 hereditary diseases they can suffer from.
      Buying a Cavelier King Charles is animal abuse and breeding them should be a considered a crime (just like in Sweden).

      Cute. I had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Fox Terrier mix named Namine aka Mama and she lived for like 19 years. She was the best most loyal dog I’ve ever had. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’s are a great breed but yes do your research and be aware of the health problems that are common with their breed

      I have a Ruby female and a tri-color male.. They are a handful but on any bad day they can definitely cheer you up with their affection.

      Please don't get one. I've had a Cavalier, and yes, they're so lovely, but they all have a heart disease. most of them have other health problems too. My dog Tommy died at just 7 years of age because of these problems.

      They will just cost you a fortune in medical bills and don't expect them to last longer then the early double digits.

      I own a one and I wouldn’t say she’s very intelligent, she is scared of butterflies and when we point for her to go out she will often run in the opposite direction.

      Unfortunately we have bred this dog to have major health problems. The actual King Charles dogs (check 17th C paintings) has a longer snout, smaller eyes. They have been bred incestually , mother son, father daughter, gives heart murmurs & a rounded skull & a large brain that creates agonising pain. Thanks Crufts!

      The problem with these dogs is that their skull is too small for their brain are so alot of them end up with neurological problems.

      One thing that is well known about them is that the king Charles commonly end up getting arthritis and other medical conditions, same as the cavachon.
