  1. Hope that's going to be a working Dobie, otherwise that's just cosmetic. Fawns are truly rare as a rose in winter, though!

  2. beautiful doberman following the BREED STANDARD with the ear cropping! the only sad part is her fawn coat probably means she wasn’t bred the best, it’s “rare” because it’s a mutated gene and is not a standard of the breed

  3. Who the hell called that fawn? The correct term is isabella as fawn is a light tan golden color.

For those that don't know to get the isabella gene you need to have the dilution gene on (changes coat from black to blue/gray) along with the chocolate/liver gene. The fawn coat comes from a different gene set over all, but people mislabel 'rare' coats to get more attention.

  4. chopping their ears is illegal in switzerland, its cruel asf and shallow to change your dog's appearance like wtf

  5. Not rare and if at all you don’t want. They have more issues and prone to more things than the standard colors. There is a reason AKC doesn’t allow them.

  6. LET THAT DOG GROW UP TO BE STRONG❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  7. Not to be a negative Nancy but rate coat colours are often an indicator of other genetic problems with a dog…like deafness, blindness, liver issues…it goes on. I hope she has some awesome owners to look out for her (and train and exercise her properly). Cropping the ears on a pup that I’m assuming wasn’t brought for protection work but rather for their “cUTe CoAt” seems gross to me. But that’s just my opinion 😇

  8. It's a shame that there's so many idiots in this comment section that are completely ignorant to this beautiful breed's history. Dobermans were the first and so far only breed created specifically to be personal protection dogs. That is why their breed standard calls for them to be cropped and docked, so that attackers can't grab and pull on their ears or tails. Plus, with thin ears, Dobermans with uncropped ears are far more prone to hematomas and split ears. If you don't like breeds that are cropped and/or docked, don't get them, but you shouldn't erase these breeds' histories just because it hurts your poor little feelings.
