Turkish Angora. Turkish Angora cat puzzle for kids and aduts.
Some facts.
This cat breed is also called the Angora cat and is widely known throughout the world. At one time, it was bred by breeders in Europe and America, using as a basis several individuals that were managed to be taken from the capital zoological park of Turkey in the middle of the last century. Today, this breed is officially recognized internationally by all existing organizations.
Origin story
The Turkish Angora, like many other domestic cat breeds, is believed to have descended from the domesticated African or Middle Eastern cat. These short-haired pets appeared in Egypt through movement from Turkey, after which the domestication process continued.
As a result of recent genetic studies, scientists have concluded that the Turkish Angora is a representative of the oldest cat breeds, and the length of the animal’s fur is the result of gene mutations.
Angora cat personality
The Angora cat is characterized as intelligent and inquisitive, while it is also quite active and playful. Such a pet always tries to be the center of attention, but at the same time it is difficult to endure long separation from its owner.
Many owners claim that the Angora cat’s character is comparable to that of a dog, since the cat loves to bring various objects to its owner. They easily open doors and turn lights on and off.
Interesting moment! These animals are able to make peculiar sounds without opening their mouths. This meowing, unusual for humans, is more similar to uterine sounds, although the animal does not make such sounds very often.
How long does a Turkish Angora live?
Such a pet can live on average about 12-15 years. If you create comfortable living conditions for an animal, providing it with high-quality balanced feed, then such an animal can easily live all 20 years.
