  1. OMG! Your tip about the collar was brilliant! We had our 2 year old Heeler on a harness and she would pull us all over, exactly like your video! She was distracted, sniffing and running ahead always. People told me to get an electric collar or prong collar. In 5 minutes, after we adjusted her collar up high on her neck, she immediately stopped pulling and sniffing everything. I was in complete control and it was so much fun. She was more relaxed and was not lunging at people or other dogs! This is her third rescue and we were worried that we would never be able to train her! Thank you for your thoughtful and practical applications! You Rock!

  2. I wouldn't recommend pulling the collar up to the base of the neck, it still chokes your dog and can cause quite a few problems with their trachea. I would recommend a head collar which has a strap covering the dog's snout and the leash hooks to the bottom, under the snout. Another method of training against pulling, is making your move unpredictable. When the dog starts to show signs of pulling, you should take the dog in the other direction. DO NOT YANK OR PULL YOUR DOG! Again, it can cause breathing problems!! Reference, Its Me or The Dog, with trainer Victoria Stilwell. Binge watch some of their videos! You'll find out quite a bit about training your pup! She's especially good with teaching them to walk on a leash! Please guys, don't choke your dogs…

  3. Ha, my little red heeler is Louise, she's about a year, rescued her about 6 months ago. You've made me feel like I can get rid of some bad habits. From my limited experience, I can't stress enough to not punish. Don't leave stuff out that could be chewed or fail to exercise them. Thanks for the tips, these are complex emotional animals. Livin with Lou Dog's the only way to stay sane

  4. I have a blue heeler and he’s the puppy fro hell hes really good inside but terrible outside I loved ur video thanx it had some good info and very helpful

  5. With the collar being up that high will he not slip out of it cuz I cannot see how he will not slip out of it if it's not tight enough and then if you tighten it that it won't choke him. My Blue Heeler (Blue) does the same thing when he is either on the harness or on the leash he jumps a lot he lunges at people or tries to go get things and he's so much stronger now that he's older. I keep trying to work with him and find different things that may help he's 3 years old now this year.

  6. Appreciate all the helpful videos. Just got an 8 week young blue named Obi Saturday, this breed is different in all the best ways. Sending good vibes

  7. Great Video! Our 13 Week, Red Arrow LOVES people…. As soon as they bend down to him, he wants to give kisses. A little leary of people waling around the neighborhood, but as soon as they talk to him…he's in love. I always ask owners how their dog is with dogs… if they say great… Arrow will go nose to nose… Like you said it is funny, if they meet in Petco, and. seperate…. when they meet a few aisles over it's like they are long lost friends LOL. Keep up the videos!

  8. Omg your video is amazing my Australian cattle dog is very energetic and with his harness he is out of control I will order a collar leash thx!!

  9. Thanks for the videos. Thought my Blue Heeler was the only one that did all that stuff.. we've been working with her for awhile now.. thanks

  10. Awesome video. So funny how much my Texas Heeler, half-red heeler/Australian Shepard acts like Lou. I use a leather martingale collar and a leather leash that I choke up on to get him to heal. He isn't that aggressive vs. people. Loves most people and especially kids. He is very reactive to some dogs though. I figured out that I can just feed him breakfast on our walks. That works so well.

  11. Yes, bikes and…. MOTORCYCLES 🏍!! He even knows them by their sound..lol! So embarrassing being stuck at a red light next to a motorcycle… he goes bonkers 🤪

  12. Hello, I am so glad I found you. My daughter has two blue heeled. They are 4 years old. The reason I am sending this to you is that they both have been neglected especially one of the dogs. Her boyfriend has no time for them and she doesn’t either. He got them both when he was drunk. My daughter has tried to take care of them but has no help at all. I would love to know if you know of anyone that will take the one dog, male. His name is Loki, and he is a beautiful white blue heeler. Her bf doesn’t like loki and the dogs are not fixed and fight a lot. I would appreciate any help you could give me. I know that with the right owner he would be a great dog. Thank you for sharing your love and devotion to blue healers.

  13. I have two cattle dogs an this makes me want to cry for your heeler, an all the post on here. They were bread to be told what to do off a leash, and listens to demands. No matter where you are. ofc always start with a leash but after a couple months if he still dont listen or stay by your heels when walking , something is wrong. I have a male and female they were bread to be obediant while free!! if told to go left they will go left, if told to go right they will go right. Whistles will help more than a leash ever could.

  14. Even though my heeler is rambunctious and hyper I have never known such loyalty and love from anything or anyone before my boy has touched my heart in so many ways and I never see heelers get much representation so keep on doing what your doing showing how amazing this breed can be ♥️

  15. I love the leash you're using in this video with that extra loop that's close to the collar. All the ones I see online on Amazon now, including the one you link to, are longer loops. Can you tell me what type of leash you are using in this video. Maybe they don't make it anymore?

  16. WE got our heeler from a back yard breeder. WE had no idea. BUT we have trained pretty well but realize we need constant training. How 🤔 anyone would back yard breed them is so crazy to me. FLOKI has to work. Very good video.

  17. Thankyou so much for that collar tip I've just starting watching you videos. I nearly cried at how well my boy responded

  18. God bless spread Gods word and his name is you don't know what God is doing but someday you will know repent and turn away from your sin and follow Jesus Christ and put your faith in him and he loves you and so do I no matter what your going through God is right there with you no matter what your going to be fine Gods hands

  19. I'm glad I found your channel. I have a 2 year old ACD that I just adopted. He's very sweet, good with other dogs, doesn't nip, doesn't bark, etc…, but he is bad about squirrels and not great on the leash. I worked on heeling him the last 15 minutes of our 2 hour hike and he did very well. I also tried the treats. He was getting the hang of it pretty quickly. Thanks!
