  1. Lol if your dog is pulling and your using a harness, you're an idiot. Also what a good dog not taking his attention off you. This is exactly how a service dog is supposed to act.

  2. If i had a dog walk up to another Id automatically pull them back to me because its just seems rude. Alot of you are just getting into deep thought with dog training then contradict yourself when referring back to the service dog…. Simply put the people walking by just dont gaf and thats a society thing

  3. Those pugs were not service trained. They should not be allowed service vests. It’s like joe blow wearing a badge. It should be a literal fine-able offence. It IS putting the public at risk and there NEEDS to be some control over the offenders.

  4. And that is the difference between a REAL sevice dog and your emotional support pet that is a out of control animal

  5. Or here’s one better why not just leave the dog at home? Like do you really need to take your pet everywhere you go?( obviously I’m not talking about the service dog)

  6. We had to retire my husband's SD because some jaggoff with a fake SD let his dog attack ours in a public space. We were at a very public event. I kivked the guys fake sd to get him off our dog. He got in my face and i got in his. The cops saw everything and were on our side.
If your dog is a legitimate sd, it will NOT acknowledge other animals and will NOT lunge or bark towards other people or animals. The cops were furious at old boy for having a fake sd at a public event with little to no control over him. They made him leave the event and had his dog removed by animal control for attacking another animal unprovoked.
Because of the damage the fake sd did to my husband's legit sd, we had to immediately retire him. People don't understand how debilitating that can be for the owner and the sd.
Stop bringing your untrained muts into public spaces where they can harm other people or other animals. Period. Fluffy doesn't need to go to Home Depot or Walmart with you.

  7. The shepherd looks like a beaten puppy. They aren't allowed to interact like dogs do, because their entire purpose is serving. Sad.

  8. So the reason the German Shepherd isn't pulling or trying to get to any other dogs or people is because he is on a hard piece it's not even a leash it's literally just a few inches long he has absolutely no choice but to keep his head right where it is so while this poor dog is doing a service he also doesn't have a choice to move

  9. Dude I can’t even take my regular a** dog to PetSmart without them getting lunged at and crap. People are ridiculous with their pets and constantly fail to correct their behavior

  10. This is how WE Know your dogs are NOT Service Dogs..If that Shepard were Not trained..1 flip and the others would be gone. This needs to STOP. Self entitled make it harder than it needs to be for those who seriously need service dog help.

  11. Yes, that is the difference and I have no problem with service dogs. I have a problem with everybody claiming their service dogs are emotional companion baloney whatever in the grocery stores are in restaurants or anywhere that dog should not be unless they’re working you know I would like to bring my dogs everywhere, my dogs are pretty good actually really good but they don’t belong in there public building that is not designed for dogs

  12. At the store I work at we have a company rule. Technically people don’t have to comply with it legally, but I found that nearly all will of you just ask nicely. Ask them to show an example of their dog in heel, and staying aligned with their handler at different angles and during movement. It’s the first or second thing in training service animals learn before their handlers will take them to non-pet friendly stores. If the dog simply cannot do this without the aid of a leash tugging them along then that animal isn’t allowed in our store, as it means it is too reactive to outside stimuli and could be a danger to others in the store. And we do have the right to ask service animals barking, being disruptive or otherwise inappropriate behavior from the store.

  13. I have a real service dog. However, what I have never done is hated on people who give their dogs active lifestyles. Just because a dog is poorly trained in social situations doesn't mean you cast hate on them. Hate the people that have their dogs chained to tree in extreme weather. A violent dog that is a threat unhinged is a different situation. But a dog trying to sniff my service animal is annoying, but is NOT a reason to cast so much hate at another dog lover.. We need more places to embrace our pets, they are our family. Education is important and I agree these dogs need more training, however, service dogs ARE NOT MACHINES.. they make mistakes, and sometimes get tired. This is a filming of one single instance the service dog behaved perfectly. Reality is less perfect. They have emotions and the dog being aware, and paying attentnion to OTHERs can also be how the dog is trained, in order to alert of potential threats. You guys need to chill out. I bet the most angry people in here don't even have a service dog. Mind your business unless the dog is causing a disruption. This is so minor, and a constant battle, that will never go away. Not all breeds are smart. Doesn't mean they belong locked in a cage for your visual convience.

  14. Emotional support animals should not be allowed in stores for their not trained and disrupt and try starting fights wit real trained dogs who are there to help and alert for people who truly need them for health not feelings….

  15. Plus I've never witness a trained dog relieving themselves in stores or trying to attack or bark at any person or animal but those emotional animals make bathroom messes and bark and attack adults children and animals who try to ignore but how when their so disruptive.

  16. Wahh your poor service dog got sniffed by a dog the humanity. They weren’t even that bad idk why everyone is complaining lol.

  17. Putting what the dog is trained for should be mandatory on the service vest. And we have to get formal legal service dog requirements already. Too many people bring untrained dogs and it's ruining it for dog friendly businesses to have so many faux ESA/service dogs that the owner is just trying not to leave at home.

  18. Dog: *Slightly leans to sniff a dog he's never seen before (Doesn't even distract or touch the service dog)

Comments: GOD some people just shouldn't have dogs. The owner needs to train it better

Like guys it's okay if your robot doesn't sniff things. But dogs do when they are trying to identify another dog. And dog sniffing another dog is the equivalent to a human walking pasted another human and saying "Hey my name is __ what's yours?"

  19. They’re at a outdoor event and usually pets are allowed. Those are definitely not serviced dogs and one of the criteria of calling your dog, a service dog whether you have a disability or don’t is that your dog is completely under your control at all times and well trained. If someone is claiming their dog as a service dog, and it’s not completely under their control at all times, it is not a service dog.

  20. I honestly don’t think it’s a problem to have a dog and to go out with them BUT you should be responsible, instead of throwing a tantrum on why your dog isn’t allowed at some places be respectful about it and if your pet is part of your family invest on him, take your pet to a school to get trained. I do enjoy seeing ppl with pets outside walking around and playing but what I don’t enjoy is for them to not read the room to make uncomfortable ppl just because “it’s like their kid”, also I don’t enjoy when a dog stars barking aggressively at ppl and they expect everyone to excuse them because it’s a “harmless animal”. Also I expect them to behave and this also applies to kids lol

  21. I had an ESA German Shepherd that helped with my MS. She was amazing, but i would never ask of her to go into a situation she couldn't handle (aka with other dogs not trained), and i still left her in my truck (with windows down) to not cause a racket inside the store!! Glad i had that option ❤
