Wolf says, “Don’t steal my heart!”
Honey got a 4 pound beaf heart for Easter. This is one of her favorite treats. Then the crows came. She couldn’t take her eyes off them. She wasn’t about to let them steal even a small nibble. 🐺 ❤️ 🐾

  1. She is so beautiful. Took my Granddaughter to a program at the Library I work at . Wolf Dogs from a nearby Wolf Sanctuary that saves Wolf Dogs and Wolves who are separated from their pack live and thrive there. Wonderful experience for those who attended.

  2. She is the whole beautiful package of she-wolf. From her long gorgeous muzzle sniffing the air to find her crow friends to her keen green accurate eyes seeking crows location. And her ‘I can do it myself, now give it bag and all to me’. Says so much about Honey 🍯 she’s an amazing companion to you, and you have given her the respect understanding and support she needs and truly deserves. Your deck and the yard with the flowering trees are a beautiful and welcoming sight, signaling to all warmer days ahead. Love your posts❤

  3. Oh this reminds me of a funny story.
My 1st service dog was a rescued Timber Sheppard. I didn't have to pay the $32,000 in training for him because I had experience raising wolves already. I just had to pay the vet bills for the emergency surgery & regularly have his pancreas checked. (He'd been severely abused by his previous owners boyfriend)
So I paid the $2000 vet bill (in 1998) & the vet sent him to a wonderful trainer. He came home at 2 & I had him for 12 years.
Well, we lived in a spot that was rural but JUST BARELY out of the jurisdiction of 3 towns.
Someone had figured out these houses on our road were perfect to rob because the nearest state police barrack was 45 minutes away.
They broke into our shed & also stole the stereo out of my car, but I was lucky. The other houses had repeat break ins & 2 home invasions.
When the guy was finally caught he ended up being the nephew of my next door nieghbor & sadly had a crack addiction that became a meth addiction.
About 6 months after he got out of jail & had completed a rehabilitation program he showed up at my door with his uncle to apologize to me@But he wouldn't get out of the car. He was too terrified to get out of the car at my house though.
I asked him why he only robbed my car & shed. And also why had he only hit my home once. He repeatedly robbed all the other nieghbors.
He said it was because he was actually IN my shed when I had opened the door & let my wolf out to go potty before bed. I never had to walk Bo, he had excellent recall so I just opened the door & let him do his business.
It took 3 recalls 1 night & I was about to go out to get him when he came trotting around the corner. The rest of the night he kept pacing to the door.
What had happened was, this guy was in my shed stealing vintage hallmark Christmas ornaments & the entire box of pewter snowflakes my gran left me. He turns around to head out the door & there in the doorway was this wolf with his head down & a big, dripping, heart in his mouth.
Never barked, never growled or snarled. Just stood there giving him the wolf stare. 😂
When Beauregaurd (Bobo) trotted off the 3rd time I called him, this guy was so terrified that he slowly put everything down, peaked out the door & ran to his uncles house as fast as he could. All the while afraid to look behind him because he thought that bloody wolf would be on his heels. 😂
He was so scared after that, he moved out of his uncles & back down the road to his mom's house.

All I could do when I heard that was laugh harder than I had in a long time. Just picturing that visual made it so hard to stop laughing.
I had thought Bo had eaten his whole heart, or buried it in a brush pile. Nope, he'd thawed it out in the water bowl. THAT'S why it was drippy & he had a bloody muzzle. I got his hearts, kidneys & livers right from the ranchers on our road that raised Black Angus & Bison. They were literally farm fresh as fresh could be when I got them 😂

  4. Honey: I pray to Almighty Father. I get the approval of my permit application to receive the blessing of our Lord, to be able to embrace a wolf like you (but I pray it’s a boy.) I’ve already have his name picked out.
