Greetings from the summit of San Bernardino Peak at 10,649 ft! (Our highest peak to date.) Hoku was the only dog to make it to the top today!
San B is truly a gem of a hike. Not crowded, well maintained and gorgeous views in every direction from start to finish. We almost didn’t summit because heavy snow cover near the top made it difficult to find the trail but we stubbornly pushed forward! (Thanks also to a new friend we made on the trail today and his nifty GPS device.) Hike stats: 16 miles | 9.5 hours | 4700 ft elevation gain
