  1. How old is the Doberman ? Mine is 7 months, I’d like to get him into protective training. He is a European Doberman. His energy level is insane!

  2. Such a handsome boy! Protective of mom and basically telling everyone don't mess with me. If you beat me my dad is gonna whoop your ass, but I'm gonna make him proud by winning that fight first. You are awesome Doberman parents!

  3. My Dobie is also a picky eater. I feed him kibble with grain and add 2 types of canned dog food. Even when he is hungry, he doesn't finish everything at once. He eats some, makes his rounds around the house, says "hello" to the cat, snout punches someone in the butt. Then goes back to the food to eat some more, then more rounds. Bruce is a beautiful dog, very intimidating looking during his training.

  4. It only takes 2-5 lessons to teach your dog to intimidate and routinely and randomly bite your friends and trick or treaters. The hard part is having them learn more than "gettem boy!!!"!

  5. Oh no. Mine has the natural protect and pin an enemy where they are. Until they step forward or move their hand forward, then he bites down without any training. His but is always facing me no matter where the person/dog moves. So dont need a leash. Mine is a working class breed. All this is in him naturally. He loves people i allow in the house and he is made to sit.

  6. Has Bruce had training on how to bite? He should be able to be taunted and not respond. He certainly shouldn't have to be tethered and have a chain link fence in the way.

  7. No need to constantly be touching the dog when hes working and in attack mode. Normally in a fight he would be getting attacked if he feels something touching him, he looked back 3-4 times to see what's touching him, a less trained dog and they would bite the Owner by accident… no one is constantly petting, and in their dog's face when there is a need for a dog to protect you in the real world.

  8. @6:08 The trainer makes a very interesting point: if the dog regards you as the leader, dominant male and protector, the dog may look to you for its own protection instead of protecting the owner. How can this be remedied, or is it therefore advised to get a female dog, as the trainer suggested?

  9. You should use a harness when transporting your dog. If you "secure" your dog with a collar in the car, you will strangulate it or break its neck when you have an accident. Come on! That's not a difficult concept!
