Batman is obviously in pain and doesn’t want me to touch him. They went at it in my bedroom for about five minutes ’till I dragged Chewy by his back feet into the guest bathroom and managed to close the door between him and his brother. I pushed Chewy into the cabinet and closed the door while Batman’s snarling, bloody head was still sticking through the almost-closed door.
That vision of my baby like some evil blood thirsty dragon haunts me still. Dogs can be so sweet and so vicious at the same time. Usually there’s jealous involved and usually Chewy attacks Batman and Batman finishes him off because he’s much larger. So that look on his face may have been anger. Prayers appreciated for our little family–they haven’t done this since January 10, 2021 and I pray they never do again. This time I made it without being bitten myself, since Chewy has gotten me nine times while trying to break up fights over the past almost-six years.
