How to Help a Female Cat in Heat #shorts
All-female cats which have not been spayed or neutered will go through a regular period when they are “in heat” or ready to mate. Their behavior will be a little different, and they run a greater risk of getting pregnant. There are a few things you can do to make the process a little easier for your cat.
Firstly, make sure to keep her away from male cats -even her siblings. Play with her as much as you can to distract her and keep her occupied. Use catnip as a way to relax her. Also, keep her indoors throughout her heat period, and give her something warm to sit on, such as a heated blanket or an electric pad.
But really, the best way to deal with a cat in heat is to ensure that she is spayed or neutered. It’s the only surefire way to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

My cat is spayed and now displaying a heat cycle.
Please help me. I have a female kitten of 5 months. I have now heard the vets will nueter her before 6 months so I'm hoping my vet says it's ok and I'll do it within the next month. She's seeming very stressed with being on heat. It's getting worse as the day goes on. I've tried putting a hot water bottle next to her but she's not interested. She likes laying behind me. I've been massaging her back end but it's not really helping. Is there anything else I can do please?

When your cat wants to mate, here are ways to help her: keep her indoors, keep her away from male cats, keep her distracted, put a heat pad on her"… Um. Thats the exact opposite of helping her; that's abstaining her. It's helping PEOPLE, to not be bothered by it. It's like if you're cat is hungry and we're told to keep the food out of her reach and sight and not feed her whatsoever "to help her". Wtf?!

You may want unwanted cat pregnancy but does your cat want that? Does your cat not want to have babies as well, does she not deserve that? Does your cat want her insides ripped out?
