Cats can technically drink milk, but many cats are lactose intolerant, which means that they can’t properly digest the sugar found in milk, called lactose.
This can cause stomach upset, gas, and diarrhea if consumed in large amounts.
Adult cats don’t have enough of the lactase enzyme to process lactose, the sugar found in milk.
