  1. Chadol is adorable! So is my girl, who I also tell everyone that I’m the servant of. Her eyes are enormous and she has a heart shaped face. Although her fur is silky and plush, when you illustrated the difference in facial profiles, I could see that Her Majesty, my cat, is a karat. She acts like a needy crybaby. I love the way she follows me around the apartment and supervises me when I do housework. She demands to be brushed often and to be chased for playtime. I enjoy spoiling her and when she snuggles in my lap.

  2. This video was a great help. I was having a hard time figuring out the breed of one of my rescue kittens. None of the other videos about Korats and Russian Blues broke down the differences as well as you did. Now I know for sure he is a Russian Blue and knowing his breed will make it easier to find the perfect forever home. Thank you so much!

  3. I had a beautiful grey cat with golden black eyes. I thought she was a Russian Blue, but after much research, I strongly feel that she was a Korat.🐱

  4. I have a Korat cat and she is everything to me!!! She is so full of life and love !! She brings such joy to my life and I try to show her as much love and she gives me… and more!!! I can’t imagine life without her…. she is such a beautiful cat and she is the queen of our heart and home!! 💕💕💕💕

  5. I had a Korat for ten years. He died sudenly of Kidney failure. He was the most loving best cat I have ever had. I miss him terribly just over a year later every day. You won't be sorry to have this cat but they do not have a long life expectancy.

  6. Thank you for this perfect video! Your Chadol looks just like my Clover! Since I’ve watched your video I can confirm that Clover has many more Korat traits than I thought!

  7. Our Korat could be his twin. The breed is remarkably alike and shares all the wonderful qualities of the video. This is my sixth cat and second in line in his affection and qualities. The other was a male Siamese, also affectionate but not as close.

  8. I read that the Russian blue is bigger but here it's stated the opposite. So which one is bigger? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  9. I thought my all grey cat was a Russian blue, but now I understand she is actually a Korat! I actually had downloaded one of those cat scanner apps that is pretty accurate at guessing your cat’s breed from a photo! My Korat is named Luna, and she has yellow eyes (but is still just under 2 years old. She will be 2 on July 23rd, 2021) So I wonder if this means her eyes will most likely gradually turn green you think? Either way her eyes are gorgeous now and would be gorgeous then! I kind of like though that her eyes are yellow right now since her name is Luna, it reminds me of a glowing moon. Has anyone’s Korat had yellow eyes for awhile that eventually turned green? How long did they have the yellow eyes for until they were green? My Korat is so sweet! She is very shy usually with everyone besides me & my boyfriend. She doesn’t like other cats besides her sister (a calico from the same litter as her) and my other cat Bella (a little black cat who she didn’t like at first when I brought home! But now they love each other, it took awhile before Luna my Korat accepted her. But luckily Bella my black cat has always been fearless even as a tiny kitten, she could hold her own! She would case Luna when Luna started hissing at her, and then it was so funny how my Big Grey Korat Luna would be chased around afraid of a lil tiny black cat 😂 now they groom each other and sleep together & cuddle often! All 3 of my cats are great friends!! They are all females. My Calico (Luna’s sister) is named Karma. Her face is half black and half orange with white splitting it down the middle. Perfectly half & half face which I rarely see in calico photos! They of course usually have those colors in their pattern, but I rarely see calicos who have their face evenly black on one side, and orange on the other! I love my cats so much, I used to be a dog person (I never had cats growing up) but my boyfriend got me my cats and I fell inlove with them fast! Now I am a cat lady and I can’t believe all my life I had not realized how amazing cats are! They are honestly more affectionate and follow me around more than any dog I ever knew or had. I feel like all three of my cats are very intelligent, and they communicate with their eyes and they are all very vocal; especially Karma my Calico. She is smaller than her sister Luna (even though they are from the same litter and as kittens were the same size!) karma seems to talk to me like a human! I can tell what she is saying to me sometimes, she tells me to turn on the bathtub faucet because she likes to lick the water when it is on (like she’s licking a waterfall) and Luna my Korat likes to spend a lot of alone time, but then when she wants attention she comes out of her hiding places and meows and usually lays on my stomach wanting tons of attention!

  10. The Purebred Russian Blue, is not actually from Russia. That breed's creator was an English woman by the name of Constance Carew Cox. She crossed Bluepoint Siamese and British Blues for thicker, stockier cats. Purebred Russian Blues will always have blue eyes, from their Bluepoint Siamese lineage. Those blue eyes are so deep blue that you know you are unmistakably seeing a true Russian Blue and never forget it. They are rare. Russian Blues and Bluepoint Siamese are the only cat breeds that have blue eyes. Russian blues get their grey fur from their British Blues lineage. A British Blue will have green eyes. The color of the eyes is how you can tell the difference between purebred Russian Blues and British Blues. That breed was given the name, Russian Blue, when Russians first found them in Arkhangelsk, Russia in 1875. English sailors often brought Russian Blues with them on ships to catch mice. They're great hunters.

  11. i needed this video lol
cause i thought my cat was a russian blue since a cat lover told me he was & i see other russian blues that are so sweet meanwhile my cat is a heartbreaker lol. maybe he's a korat.

  12. They have a different coat too, Russian Blue are more silvery grey, with a double coat, softer fluffy underneath, and longer hairs on top. Russian Blues have more almond shaped eyes, sometimes almost as if they have eyeliner on the top lid, Korat have big round eyes, a bit surprised looking

  13. Спасибо вам огромное,за грамотное разъяснение,я точно знаю что у нас кот породы Корат и зовут его Коко. Здоровья вашему коту,удачи и всех благ. С меня подписка и лайк.

  14. I actually believe that Russian blue cats are originated from Korat cat because King Chulalongkorn of Siam was a good friend to czar Nicholas I of Russia and their royal families had close friendships. Both cats have short hairs which are unlikely belonging to a cold country. Moreover the Russian blues became world-widely known just lately after czar Nicholas I's reign.

  15. Wrong. It is the Korat that has blue eyes as a kitten, then yellow, then green as it matures. And the back legs of the Korat are slightly LONGER than the front legs. I know because I own a Korat.

  16. Great video, but I still have questions about my puppy, can I send you a picture of him so you can tell me if he is Korat or Russian Blue? Pleaseee

  17. I still don’t know. My cat’s nose is like a Korat.. his ears are like a RB… I think that his face is triangular but I think his back legs are slightly shorter. 😳
